We are excited to share the work we did for Know Your Tutor, a platform that manages specialized Facebook groups and a Medium publication dedicated to supporting both learners and educators. This rebranding effort was aimed at positioning Know Your Tutor as a dynamic educational community designed for students, parents, and tutors specializing in a variety of subjects such as science, languages, music, and more.
The essence of the rebranding is centered around a fundamental belief: education is a crucial investment in one's future, and the right mentor or tutor can profoundly impact the journey of learning. Whether it's helping students overcome challenges or nurturing talent in specific fields, Know Your Tutor creates an invaluable bridge between learners and expert tutors.
Know Your Tutor entrusted us with the task of developing both their brand and growth strategy. We began by conducting a detailed market analysis to understand the current educational landscape, identifying key trends, needs, and opportunities. Based on our findings, we devised a comprehensive branding system that perfectly aligned with the organization's goals and values.
The logo
The new logomark and visual style draw inspiration from the unique relationship between tutor and student. They represent two halves of the same whole, signifying a continuous, symbiotic path of growth and improvement for both parties. The logo serves as a powerful metaphor for the collaborative learning process, where both educators and students contribute equally to success.
—This would be the perfect scenario. However, in real life, tutors struggle to find students to teach and grow their business (this is where the Know Your Tutor comes to help). So, considering the above, the logo is just a half (tutor) of the whole.
We created multiple color variations of the logotype to ensure maximum flexibility and control across various compositions, such as when it's integrated into illustrations or different media formats. Every aspect was meticulously considered and rigorously tested to guarantee that the branding system remains highly responsive and adaptable in any context.
The logo's design logic
Initial letters: the process begins with the composition of the first letters of the brand's name, making it instantly recognizable.
Compact shape: the "K" was modified to create a more compact and cohesive shape, maintaining visual clarity.
Symbolic representation: Know Your Tutor as one half of the equation, with the student as the other. This concept underscores the collaborative nature of education. (Refer to the Hero image for a visual reference).
Through this rebranding, Know Your Tutor has emerged with a refined identity that reflects its mission to empower students and tutors. The new visual language speaks to the platform's commitment to fostering educational excellence, ensuring that everyone involved—whether parent, student, or tutor—feels part of a thriving, supportive community.

Deployed system in action
We believe we've successfully achieved the right balance in creating a cohesive and visually appealing design system.
Facebook page and groups branded content
Branded content is more than just a visual identity; it's a comprehensive strategy that helps create a recognizable, trusted, and engaging presence on Facebook. It helps align the message with the audience, fosters trust, and boosts both engagement and visibility. For tutors, students, or any niche community, branded content is a powerful tool that ensures a Facebook page or group is more than just another social media profile—it becomes a valuable, trusted resource for the audience.
The importance of branded content
Establishes credibility and trust
When a Facebook page or group features branded content, it conveys professionalism and commitment. A well-branded group signals that it's not just another social media space but a reliable platform with thoughtful content. This builds trust with the audience—whether they are customers, students, parents, or members of any kind. People are more likely to engage with and rely on information from a source that appears credible and well-established.
Creates a strong first impression
The first thing people notice when they visit a Facebook page or group is its visual presentation. From the banner image to the page description, every branded element leaves a lasting impression. If the branding is coherent and aligned with the purpose, it gives visitors a sense of the values, mission, and professionalism.
Builds brand recognition
Consistency in branding is key to making sure people recognize the group or page. From logos, colors, and fonts to the tone of the posts, branded content helps create a unified image that people will remember. Over time, this repetition solidifies the presence in their minds, making it easier for them to identify the group whenever they come across the posts, ads, or content elsewhere on social media.
Encourages engagement
Well-branded Facebook content tends to encourage greater engagement. People are naturally drawn to well-constructed and visually appealing posts. When the page or group maintains a professional and attractive look, it boosts the likelihood that members will interact with the posts—whether it's liking, commenting, or sharing them. A strong brand identity, combined with relevant and thoughtful content, nurtures a sense of belonging and inspires the audience to participate.
Aligns with the target audience
Branded content helps you align your messaging with your target audience. For example, if the page or group is about tutoring services, you can use specific visual elements and language that appeal to students, parents, or educators. Well-crafted branded content resonates with the right people, reflecting their needs, goals, and values. It helps you communicate in a way that not only attracts but also retains the audience you want to engage.
Creates a sense of community
In Facebook groups, especially, branded content fosters a sense of belonging and community. When members see consistent branding, they feel like they are part of a unified, organized space where their interests are valued. Whether it’s in the form of branded posts, banners, or group rules, consistent visual and messaging cues remind members that they are in a group aligned with a specific mission or purpose.
Supports long-term growth
Branded content isn’t just about short-term engagement; it’s about building a brand that will grow over time.
Differentiates you from competitors
In a crowded social media environment, it can be challenging to stand out. Branded content allows you to differentiate your Facebook page or group from competitors.
Facebook group user participation rules
1. Respect content restrictions
We have a strict policy against fraudulent, spam, and inappropriate content. Avoid posting duplicate comments, irrelevant advertisements, or deceptive offers. Such actions will lead to the removal of the posts or comments, and repeat offenders will be banned from the group.
2. Relevant topics only
This group is dedicated to discussions and posts specifically about tutoring. Tutors are encouraged to share details about their services, while students and parents can seek tutors and make inquiries. Additionally, feel free to share educational articles, resources, and questions related to tutoring. Posts that do not align with these topics will be removed.
3. Post original content
Make sure that each post you make is original and distinct. Do not resubmit the same content or repeatedly post similar material. Contributions should including unique descriptions of your skills and experiences, new tutoring service suggestions, and student reviews. Repeatative posts may be removed to maintain the relevance of the group.
4. Adhere to content guidelines
To ensure your posts are effective and engaging, consider following these recommendations: include sufficient content, use relevant hashtags, and avoid adding images. Also, refrain from sharing contact details directly in posts or comments, as they can be crawled due to the public nature of the group, increasing the chances of receiving spam. Following these guidelines is strongly encouraged, and admin users may provide feedback and request edits when necessary.
5. Limit post frequency
To ensure your posts receive the attention and responses they deserve, please limit your activity to no more than one post every two days on the same subject. This helps maintain a well-organized group and ensures that each post, whether from tutors or students, is given a fair chance to be noticed.
